The Poncan Opry returns to the stage with the second show of the 2012 season. Featuring the Poncan Opry Band with special  guest Clint Walker.

Clint Walker - Country / Country Rock / Rockabilly

A Singer*Songwriter*Musician*Producer, a native of Vinita, Oklahoma has been the opening act for Ronnie Milsap, Jerry Reed, George Jones, Ray Price and many more.

Clint is certainly no stranger to the stage. He has played large venues such as Billy Bob’s in Fort Worth Tx. Convention Centers, State Fairs and was the Headliner for a sold out show of more than 6,500 fans in St. Louis Mo. for an American Heart Association fundraiser. Throughout his career, Clint has made many TV and Radio appearances and was the star male vocalist for The Grand Grove Opry Radio show in Grove, Ok. That aired on KITO FM every Sunday afternoon for two 1/2 years. Walker is among the best in the entertainment business! And with a repertoire of more than one thousand songs he brings fans a large variety of music ranging from Country, Southern Rock, R&B, Rock-A-Billy, Pop, and Blues.

But don't let the cowboy hat fool you, his vocal range is astounding being able to sing low baritone style songs to the very impressive high vocal styling’s of Roy Orbison and Vince Gill. Clint is currently in the process of recording and producing his second album that contains ten of his original songs. The album is expected to be released in early June to more than forty online download stores including Napster and iTunes as well as several retail businesses across the country. Clint is one of those artists whose music cannot be put into a category because he plays with such diversity. He draws in crowds that transcends generations that in turn, keep the fans begging for more!

The Poncan Opry Band consists of Bucky Fowler on lead guitar and vocals. Rob Loren on, fiddle; Steve Gordaneer, steel guitar; James Hocutt, bass guitar; Mike Price, keyboard, Chuck Case, drums, and vocalists Karla Fowler and the Fowler Sisters: Kristine Saner, Kelcy Mohr and Kandace Sovereign.

The Poncan Opry Band has broadened the format to include a wider variety of music for all audiences to enjoy. Along with traditional Classic Country, there will also be Today's Country, Classic Rock 'n Roll, Rhythm 'n Blues, Bluegrass and Gospel at each of the shows.

The Poncan Opry is northern Oklahoma's version of Branson style entertainment with music, comedy and ventriloquism all together in a family friendly show. Fans of the Poncan Opry are continually telling band members and crew that they had just come from Branson and watched several music shows and the Poncan Opry is every bit as good or better than them. The Poncan Opry is very proud of this reputation and works extra hard to keep the show at these high standards that have been set. Each month the Poncan Opry offers a different show, different songs, and a different seasoned entertainer.
